Combined Autobiography of Rev. Dr. & Rev. Mrs. Gideon Olaleye
We were both called to the ministry in 1976 and 1978 respectively. We both attended and graduated from the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary in 1981 and 1982 respectively. Assumed pastorate of Eleyele Baptist Church, Ibadan, Nigeria 1981.
Got married in October 2, 1982 at Orita mefa Baptist Church in Ibadan. Blessed with our first child, Grace Aderolake Olaleye-Osisanya, in July 23, 1983. Proceeded to the United States of America July/August 1985. Continued our education and graduated from American Baptist College, Nashville TN in 1986/87 respectively.
Dr. Gideon Olaleye proceeded to Vanderbilt University where he completed his Master of Divinity and Doctorate Degree at the Divinity School. Rev Mrs. Esther Olaleye proceeded to Tennessee State University where she matriculated and completed Masters Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. She then proceeded to Aquinas College where she obtained her degree in Nursing. During this period of academic rigors we were blessed with our second child, William OlaOluwa Olaleye in June 2, 1986.
In 1991 Dr. Gideon Olaleye started lecturing in the area of Greek and Hebrew and other subjects at American Baptist College. He won the award of the teacher of the year in 1993. He was invited to Southern California, American Baptist College extension in summer of 1997. He was honored with the key to the city of LA. During this period we were blessed with our third child, Gideon AdeOluwa Olaleye in November 23, 1993.
Through the grace of God, we started the Ministry of the current New Beautiful Gate Church and Ministries in October, 1987.
